Breaking FDA ....

Today, Aegerion Pharmaceuticals Inc. agreed to plead guilty in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts to two misdemeanor counts of violating the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FD&C Act) involving the introduction of misbranded Juxtapid (lomitapide) into interstate commerce. In connection with this agreement, the criminal information filed today charged that Juxtapid was misbranded because Aegerion failed to comply with the requirements of the Juxtapid Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS) program and because the drug’s labeling lacked adequate directions for all of Juxtapid’s intended uses. This agreement resolves a criminal investigation in which the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Office of Criminal Investigations played an important role.
Aegerion and one of its senior vice presidents, Charles M. Gerrits, PharmD, Ph.D also agreed to enter into a consent decree of permanent injunction with the United States. The consent decree includes a comprehensive compliance program and legal tools for the FDA to ensure that the defendants comply with the law, subject to judicial oversight. The FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research was instrumental in crafting the compliance obligations agreed to in the consent decree.

This post is for all the single ladies.
If you use pop culture as your guide this will give advice on dating and sex:
http://www.cosmopolitan.com/sex-love/advice/a4891/dating-by-the-numbers/

My suggestion to avoid having to take a drug for STDs, lets hold off on the sex for a bit.

Instead ladies here's a suggestion: use mascara and a certain type of shoe. After all they are branded as "betterthansex"

The high heel may be bad for your back, but who cares? :-)

What to do if you swimming near a shark? Discovery Channel to the rescue.....

From Yahoo news below:
Shark Week closes July 30 with a second special featuring the GOAT, Shark School With Michael Phelps. Doc Gruber and Tristan Guttridge of the Bimini Shark Lab give him a crash course that Discovery says will dispel misconceptions, get him up close to the power of a great white, and “teach him how to safely dive with sharks — including how to stay calm when a hammerhead swims two feet above his face.” So what is the trick for that? Phelps laughs again. “I think it was about six inches from my face. It was really close to me,” he says. “I guess it’s probably doing more common sense stuff than you think about. It’s not freaking out, trying not to flail your arms all over the place. Not splashing into the water and making a gigantic wave, because that’s obviously going to attract them to come up and see what’s jumping in their environment and try and check it out. … We look at these animals as dangerous animals but they’re not; they’re out there trying to survive just like we are on land.”

The woman who printed the Declaration of Independence had a business that is allegedly a rite aid pharmacy. Rite Aid's management will be responding to the article.

"She was also quietly named the first female postmaster in the colonies in 1775, running the busy and crucial Baltimore Post Office as well as a bookstore, print shop and newspaper. At the time, Congress was meeting just down the street from her office. So she was basically the pipeline for a lot of information during our nation’s founding years — her little shop was a combination of The Washington Post, Snapchat, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram from 1775 to 1784. (It’s now a Rite Aid.)"
